Don’t miss the play ‘Aami Pluto’ that celebrates love, friendship and hope

Kolkata-based group Beadon Street Subham will be staging two shows of this spectacular play

Published 27.06.24, 09:09 AM

Inspired by Steve Metzger’s Pluto Visits Earth! and based on Debatosh Das’ short story, Aami Pluto is more than just the tale of a tiny planet. It is a beautiful story that celebrates love, friendship, and hope in a struggle to remember who we truly are. After a long debate, Pluto was deemed too small to remain in the planetary family. Despite all the challenges and rejection, Pluto decided to find his own way. He lands on Earth, in the City of Joy, with nothing but hope, looking for someone to share his feelings. But he must wait...

As we rediscover what is lost, the small planet exclaims, “Fundamental Right is Fundamental Might! I’m not small! It’s the world that is too big!” Thus, Aami Pluto becomes a quest for home, a fight against oblivion, and a journey of self-discovery, taking us light years away from our mullioned windows to the edge of our luminous galaxy.

Aami Pluto will be staged on June 30 (Sunday) at Tapan Theatre at 3 pm and on July 4 (Thursday) at Academy of Fine Arts.

Time: 6.15pm.
