Bidding adieu to November is incomplete without a spectacular finale, and India’s first Bengali literary festival – Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsob – ensures it ends on a high note. Block off your calendar for the last weekend of November because the ninth edition of this literary extravaganza is gearing up to unfold, with My Kolkata as the digital partner.
Over the past eight years, the festival has been graced by literary luminaries such as Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, the late Nabaneeta Dev Sen, Samaresh Majumdar, Sankha Ghosh, Pracheta Gupta, Sanjib Chattopadhay, Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri, Srijato, Anish Deb, Krishnendu Mukherjee, and Subodh Sarkar. But the event isn’t confined to the stalwarts of Bangla Sahitya, it has also witnessed the participation of notable actors, singers and theatre personalities like Suman Mukhopadhyay, Arindam Sil, Nachiketa, Surojit Chatterjee, Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta, Rupam Islam, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Barun Chanda, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Chandan Sen.
