Several roads across the city will be closed to traffic on Thursday or will become “no parking” zones on Thursday and Friday because of multiple religious programmes and processions.
The Telegraph gives the list of roads where restrictions would be imposed on Thursday and Friday.

Eid will be celebrated on Thursday. The following restrictions will be in place:
- Red Road will be closed to traffic from 10pm Wednesday till noon on Thursday.
- Vehiclular movement will be temporarily suspended or diverted from more than 80 roads across the city from 4am till Thursday noon. Some of these are Maniktala Main Road, Narkeldanga Main Road, Gas Street, RG Kar Road, parts of APC Roy Road, MN Chatterjee Street, stretches of Raja Dinendra Street, North Sealdah Road, Kashinath Dutta Road, Khagen Chatterjee Road, Lock Gate Road, Belgachia Road, Chatubabu Lane, Dr Suresh Sarkar Road, D C Dey Road, Convent Road, stretches of Keshab Chandra Sen Street, MG Road (between Rabindra Sarani and College Street), Zakaria Street, Madan Mohan Burman Street, Rabindra Sarani (between Canning Street and Tara Chand Dutta Street), portions of Colootala Street, parts of Lenin Sarani, CR Avenue (between Bentinck Street and Madan Street and between B B Ganguly Street and Vivekananda Road), JL Nehru Road, Rani Rashmoni Avenue (between JL Nehru Road and Government Place East), Mayo Road (between Dufferin Road and Red Road), Dufferin Road, Park Street (between Seven-point crossing and AJC Bose Road), Beck Bagan Row (between AJC Bose Road and Sayed Amir Ali Avenue), Northern Flank of No. 4 Railway Bridge, Shamsul Huda Road (between Rifle Range Road and Jhawtala Road), Palm Avenue, Syed Amir Ali Avenue (between Mayfare Road and Beck Bagan Row), parts of AJC Bose Road, Tollygunge Circular Road, Gopal Nagar Road, Peary Mohan Roy Road, parts of Garden Reach Road and Watgunge Street, Kidderpore Road, Outram Road and others.
- Parking will be prohibited on the following roads from 2pm to 11pm on Thursday and Friday on the occasion of Gawarja Mata Puja: Rabindra Sarani, Maharshi Debendra Road, Vivekananda Road, Cotton Street, Digamber Jain Temple Road, Kali Krishna Tagore Street, Nawab Lane, Jagannath Ghat Road, Nalini Seth Road, Kalakar Street and Jogendra Kaviraj Row, stretches of Strand Road, Hariram Goenka Street and Bysack Street.
- Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial and feeder roads by traffic police as and when considered necessary on both days.
