School notice
The state secondary education board has issued a notice asking the heads of government and government-aided schools to strictly adhere to the prescribed curriculum while setting questions for summative assessment of students in Classes VI to X. The notice said no question should create a controversy. The question papers are to be set by the subject teachers only, it said.
Basanta Utsav
A book fair, Basanta Utsav o Boimela, organised jointly by the Publishers and Booksellers Guild and the Calcutta Municipal Corporation, was inaugurated by author Shirshendu Mukhopadhayay at College Square on Wednesday.
