Abhishek Banerjee number
Trinamool national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee s official mobile number was allegedly spoofed by an unknown person to make a call to an official of Raniganj Municipality asking him to resolve a property dispute, police said. Although the number matched, the official got suspicious and enquired about the call and learned that it was never made from Banerjee’s office, the police said. A complaint was lodged with Shakespeare Sarani police station, based on which two persons were arrested in Delhi. The police identified them as Abhishek Chowdhury and Sophia Chowdhury.
US student visa
More than 100 US student visa applicants were interviewed at the US consulate in Kolkata on Thursday. June 13 was observed as the eighth Annual Student Visa Day at US missions across the country. "Your acceptance into US universities is a testament to your hard work, dedication and academic excellence," Melinda Pavek, the US consul general in Kolkata, told the aspirants.
