Cafe the Eggspresso celebrated Labour Day with some rickshaw-pullers of Kolkata. The south Kolkata cafe arranged a unique lunch for around 35 rickshaw-pullers

Towels and a token of love were distributed to them by Pradipta Chatterjee, co-owner of the cafe
Sourav Chakraborty, director, actor, writer & producer and actor Sudip Mukherjee from the Tollywood film fraternity were present. They interacted with the rickshaw pullers and posed for pictures
Pradipta Chatterjee, co-owner of the cafe, said: “This Labour Day, we celebrated to create awareness about their indispensable role in our daily lives. It is important for everyone to mirror the same feelings back to them empathetically. We feel content by taking this initiative and making them feel special. Everyone’s support will be a tribute to the strength of labour and community spirit. For the betterment of their future, we should stand together by encouraging them”
