On the National Technology Day, a “Missile Park” was inaugurated at the Science City. The park has been designed and developed to showcase the (missile) development programme of the country through life-size replicas of missiles. Visitors can take a breath-taking view of the life-size models of six flagship missiles of India, namely BrahMos, Prithvi, Mission Shakti, Akash, Astra and Nag. An added attraction of the park is a statue of India’s Missile Man and former President of India, late Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, who had spearheaded India’s missile development programme during its nascent years.
