Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner to Kolkata, visited the Eden Gardens on Sunday ahead of the T20 World Cup. In his social media post he wrote, “As the sun sets in Kolkata it seemed fitting to pay a visit to Eden Gardens on the day the @T20WorldCup starts in just over 2 hours. Good luck to the teams of @BCCI, @englandcricket & my beloved @CricketScotland who are in the midst of a final warm up with Uganda.”

Dalian rakes MR 513 And MR 514 arrived at the Noapara carshed from China. The AC tonnage capacity of these rakes has been increased by 16.7 per cent with a continuous ducting system and temperature control for better controlled cooling. New rakes have been provided with a wider emergency front evacuation door for better safety, wider driver desk for motorman’s comfort. The exterior is provided with an anti-dust feature which ensures better cleaning. CCTV cameras have also been provided with the capability of automatic 360-degree coverage in place of the existing 180-degree coverage. These rakes are equipped with light weight (650 kg) traction motors in place of existing 900 kg traction motors
