Getting to Kolkata: From our bridge-to-luxury brand, S&N by Shantnu Nikhil, we have our latest celebrationwear collections, Glow and Dune, ready for Kolkata. The men’s edit for this season comes replete with an internationally flavoured pastel colour palette, crafted into easy pieces carrying judicious hints of delicate, geometric thread work, bold stripe details, and inclusions of the signature SN navy and ivory pieces.
Glow is this summer’s party-wear offering that reimagines the wearer’s lifestyle as a carefree dance between formality and personal expression. Populated with pastel rose, liquid azure blue, and ice cream lemon, and strong navy pieces, Dune gets a boost with striking white separates that underline the use of such effortless tones that highlight Indian skin.
From the ceremonial wear brand — Shantnu & Nikhil — our collection is adorned with a mix of pastel, ivory, and mint hues, highlighted with tie-dye accents. The men’s edit has sherwanis, bandhgalas, draped kurtas, and sheer shirts.
For women, on offer are glittering fitted column gowns in taupe for nights filled with sparkle and shine. Adorned with bugle beads, rhinestones, and bejewelled fabrics with hints of faux leather, it all comes together in fabulously crafted ensembles that take centre stage.
Your fashion/style mood of the season: This season’s occasion wear celebrates the moment with a sense of nostalgia, taking you into a world of opulence. Each piece carries with it judicious hints of geometric thread work, an inclusion of bugle beads, and the flair of the house’s signature drapes achieved in the finest of fabrics. We are striving for more extravagant designs, which have a sense of grandeur to them but are still easy to wear.
An investment piece this season would be: For men, a classic bandhgala can never go wrong. It can be styled from day to night by just playing around with accessories. As for women, a breezy silhouette is a must. Pastel-hued lehngas and sari-gown silhouettes add an extra dose of oomph with the nonchalance of comfort.

Getting to Kolkata: I’m bringing all my signature classics along with our latest collection that encapsulates our last 15 years of work. You can expect all our statement saris, tops, dresses along with accessories for women and tuxedos, jackets, shirts for men, perfect for a cocktail night.
Your fashion/style mood of the season: For the current season my mood is very graphic, and statement.
An investment piece this season would be: Invest in a good sari, it’s a classic that will never go out of fashion.

Getting to Kolkata: A festive collection designed by Maheep Kapoor, called Inaayt. The generous use of uncut diamonds, rubies and emeralds in the new collection, coupled with designs that easily transition from a wedding mandap to a cocktail party, the Inaayt collection is an ideal investment for millennials. Unlike most traditional Indian festive jewellery, pieces from the Inaayt collection can be reworked by brides even after their big day, making them highly coveted and sought after.
The fashion/style mood of the season: Grandeur, richness, opulence with a dash of elegance.
An investment piece this season would be: Chaandbalis. They are extremely wearable. Can dress up even the plainest of outfits.

This curation is one of its kind. You can see and tell. The beauty of different art forms and design language is coming together for the first time in Kolkata. They may have been here before, but we present them differently. Each brand brings a distinct identity to the curation. One thing that connects them is understated opulence. They speak the millennial language of what Indian fashion means to them. Their creations are not restricted to just weddings but various Indian occasions and celebrations. Another exciting bit is the designer’s presence at the event. It’s almost unthinkable to meet them, or get a bespoke piece designed. We make it possible here, and we want Kolkata to make use of this wonderful opportunity! At this event you can meet designers Nikhil Mehra, Rimzim Dadu, Shravan Satyani and Maheep Kapoor. And, that for me is the most exciting part of this curation
