Golf Green OC ‘closed’
The officer-in-charge of Golf Green police station was “closed” on Tuesday and asked to report to the headquarters force. A joint commissioner of police said the officer was “closed” — a term used when an officer is taken off duty in his or her present posting — for “administrative” reasons.
A government order issued on Tuesday said the officer, Karuna Shankar Singh, was being “closed” with immediate effect till further orders. Arun Kumar Sarkar, the additional officer-in-charge of Golf Green police station, has been asked to discharge the OC’s responsibilities.
