Popular Indian rock band Agnee was in Kolkata on November 25 to set the mood for a festive year-ender. The band, comprising Mohan Kannan, Kaustubh Dhavale aka Koco, Hrishikesh Datar aka Rishi and Chirayu made everyone present at the Hard Rock Cafe swoon, headbang and break into applause with their popular songs

From ‘Kaise Ho’, ‘Sadho Re’, ‘Kabira’, ‘Kya Main Kya Tu’ to ‘Sham Tanha’, the song selection for the gig had all the chartbusting songs of the band
Mohan enthralled the audience with his vocal prowess and ‘Kolkatar chhele’ charm. His ‘alaaps’ received thundering applause from the fans
Koco’s mastery over the guitar chords set the stage and the dance floor on fire. The musician played quite a few solo sets strumming the guitar. He also sang ‘Desh ke naujawano’. Fun fact: Mohan and Koco founded Agnee in 2007
The audience was acknowledged by the band for being well versed with the songs, and singing perfectly in tune
Agnee also performed their 2023 release ‘Mallaah’
In a quick in-between-the-gig chat, Koco shared an anecdote of how Mohan recorded one of the versions of ‘Kabira Maan Jaa’ from the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. The band is planning to release Mohan’s version soon
