Solène Weinachter and Katye Coe were in the city on December 2 to kick off Artist Diaries: Edition 1:1. Taking place at the Glenburn Penthouse, this new platform has been established for artistes to speak about the art and work they put out in the world. For its launch, the two artistes from Scottish Dance Theatre spoke about their production of ‘Antigone, Interrupted’, which started its tour in India the next day

Post the session, the two artistes took a picture with the Ruchira Das, mediator of the session and director of arts, British Council India (centre), director of Pickle Factory Dance Foundation, Vikram Iyengar, and Husna-Tara Prakash of Glenburn Tea Estate. ‘It is wonderful to have them in the city and we are excited to watch the dance tomorrow. And of course, we are looking forward to hearing their story,’ said Husna-Tara Prakash

‘We are delighted to host Solène Weinachter and Katye Coe. This is their company’s fourth visit to India and very few companies have come so regularly to India… in the last decade. This is the first time they will be doing a solo. We at Pickle Factory have been bringing work to the city for years and it brings us joy to do so because the art needs to be seen,’ said Vikram Iyengar of Pickle Factory Dance Foundation

Post the session, the guests enjoyed some Fratelli wine and mingled with the artistes. The wines that were being served were Sangiovese Rose, Sangiovese Cabernet Franc Syrah, Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc and Gran Cuvee Brut

To pair with the wines, a cheese and crackers platter was served up along with small bites like meat samosas, chicken bites on bread, salmon and cream cheese and mini fruit tarts
