In pictures: Funky picks, baked goods at Patuli’s Nomad’s Cafe lifestyle pop-up

A lifestyle pop-up was held at Patuli’s newly opened Nomad's Cafe on August 25 and 26 under the initiative of Mindage Communications and Productions. The fun pop-up featured a range of apparel and accessories along with home decor picks and baked goodies from homegrown businesses

The pop-up, True-Pop, curated by founder of Mindage Communications and Productions’ Ritama Ghosh, featured small businesses from Kolkata like Anuradha’s Homemade Cakes, Blingkart, Mrittika and The Cartels

Anuradha’s Homemade Cakes owned by Anuradha Sengupta had a spread of homemade baked goodies, which included delectables like brownies, dry fruit muffins, blueberry muffins, marble cakes and more

Mrittika, an initiative by Sarani, had a range of jewellery, made by women from various self-help groups. Antara Ghosh Sarma, who was representing the brand, said, ‘Mrittika works towards helping women of self-help groups to convert their handmade crafts into sellable products. I am grateful to Mindage Communications and Productions and Nomad’s Cafe for giving Mrittika the space to showcase the talent of these women.’ (In picture: Sanchita Debnath, a member of Mrittika)

Another jewellery brand, Blingkart by Ritwika Bose had some chic pieces on display. Light and sparkly, these bracelets, chains, statement earrings, and more are a perfect pair with Indo-western outfits

The Cartels, founded by Atanu Dutta, had a funky collection of graphic printed t-shirts in pop colours

Curator Ritama Ghosh called it a ‘cosy pop-up with a spread of muffins, jewellery and t-shirts’, while Nomad’s Cafe owner Ranjini Ghosh, said the cafe was glad to organise an event to support homegrown brands
