On December 21, a special screening of Parama: A Journey with Aparna Sen was organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation at PVR INOX South City, with several prominent faces in attendance. Directed by Suman Ghosh (pictured with Aparna Sen and Kalyan Ray), the 80-minute docu-film focuses not only on Sen’s oeuvre as actor and filmmaker but also examines various aspects of her identity as activist, magazine editor, daughter, wife and mother

“We tend to celebrate people only after they are gone. I want to celebrate icons while they are with us. Sundeep Bhutoria (managing trustee, Prabha Khaitan Foundation) has been a friend of mine for a long time and has always offered assistance. The response the film has received tells me that we had the right idea,” said Ghosh (pictured with Kaushik Basu and Aparna Sen)
