As part of the ongoing AMI Arts Festival, in association with t2, Karigari: Art Bazaar brings together a host of craftsmen from across India for a direct customer-to-artisan interaction. The fourth floor of Kolkata Centre for Creativity is abuzz with vibrant hues and rich craftsmanship from states like Rajasthan, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Bengal. Products like Pichwai art, shola art, jute-based jewellery, dokra art, patachitra, silver jewellery and more are part of the exhibition cum sale. Karigari is KCC’s initiative to preserve and promote the arts, crafts, and textile traditions that have been passed down through generations, showcasing the extraordinary talents of artisans from various corners of India. Here’s a glimpse of the art bazaar that is on till December 10.
A stall by Behala Naba Proyas, a school for speciallyabled children, also displayed their products including spices, coasters, tablecloths and more, all made by the students.
