Brand USA hosted its 10th India Sales & Media Mission in Goa last month, which saw participation of delegates from over 35 American states, over 100 tourism and travel agencies from across India and numerous media representatives. The annual event acts as a way for partners of Brand USA to engage with key travel trade and media contacts in the Indian travel industry.
This year, the event that acts as a bridge between consumers and suppliers in the tourism industry, was held from January 21 to 25 in two batches. The locations chosen were opulent with interactive sessions and gatherings held at Westin Goa, JW Marriott Goa and Slow Tide.
t2 was there for two nights and our evening began with a networking event for the US delegates, buyers and media at JW Marriott. The next morning was an important day for buyers and delegates while media meetings were held simultaneously at Westin.
On our last night at the event, we soaked in the vibes at Slow Tide, an open-air restaurant which redefines the ‘Anjuna shack’ model and is an ode to the region’s hippie culture.
Established in 2011, Brand USA was India’s first public-private partnership to lead a globally coordinated marketing effort to promote the US as a premier travel destination and communicate subsequent visa and entry policies. t2 gets you highlights from the event.
