In Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, a victory procession was taken out from Congress Bhavan, Ranchi, to Albert Ekka Chowk led by state Congress president Rajesh Thakur and other senior leaders. Nearly 200 Congress workers participated in the procession with flags in their hands and distributed sweets to people at Albert Ekka Chowk.

Addressing the media after the victory procession, Rajesh Thakur said that the decision of the Supreme Court is an affirmation of truth and justice.

“Despite the continuous efforts of the entire BJP machinery, we are neither going to give up, nor bow down, nor be cowed down. We have full faith in the judicial process, our leader Rahul Gandhi did not bend or bow choosing to place his faith in the judicial process. It has proved that no force can silence the voice of the people,” said Thakur.

“It seems clear from the order given by the Supreme Court that truth can be troubled but not defeated. Today is a day of happiness. The conspiracy against Rahul Gandhi has failed,” added Thakur.

State Congress spokesperson Rakesh Sinha said that similar celebrations were held at district headquarters across Jharkhand.

“Soon our party workers will be holding celebrations at block and sub-divisional level. We will be taking out a campaign to inform the masses about the ugly design of the BJP-led Central government against Rahul Gandhi which has been foiled by the Supreme Court,” said Sinha.
