Holi violence: Two injured during firing in Sindri

Incident took place  in connection with illegal coal trade rivalry between different groups

Two persons were seriously injured during firing that took place at Shiv Mandir Road locality under Gaushala police outpost of Sindri late last night at around 11.30 pm.

The seriously injured persons including Tinku Yadav (32) and Rohit Sandia (30) who were initially rushed to Chansnala Community Centre were later referred to Sahid Nirmal Mahto Memorrial Medical College and Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

The incident took place when two youth arrived on a bike and indiscriminately fired on Raju Yadav and Rohit Sandip and fled away from the site.

Local residents who rushed to the site hearing the gun shot immediately rushed them to Chasnala Community Health Centre from where they later referred to SNMMCH.

Notably, Tinku received two gun shot injuries in his chest region while Rohit received gun shot injuries on his upper abdomen and right leg. Notably, both the injured persons are cousin brothers and engaged in illegal coal trade.

Vikash Mahto, Officer in Charge of gaushala police outpost said, We have identified those behind the incident and raids are being conducted at different places to arrest them."
