BRIEFS: Two persons with novel coronavirus-like symptoms have been kept under observation at home

A man from Lohardaga, who recently returned from Kerala, has been sent to RIMS here with recurrent cough and fever. In Garhwa, two persons with novel coronavirus-like symptoms, who had returned from Germany, have been kept under observation at home. A couple including an Italian who had arrived at a hotel in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, have been kept under home quarantine and their samples taken for test. In Ranchi, the Kendriya Sarna Samiti has scrapped its procession for Sarhul festival on March 27.

The Tata Motors plant here remained shut on Wednesday as part of a block closure that will continue till Thursday. This is the second closure in a week.

Trains scrapped

The Tatanagar-LTT Antyodaya Express leaving Tatanagar on March 19, 22, 26 and 29 will remain cancelled while the Tatanagar-LTT Antyodaya Express (Dn) train leaving LTT will remain cancelled on March 21, 24, 28 and 31 due to poor occupancy in view of the coronavirus scare. The Tatanagar-Bilaspur Passenger will also be cancelled from March 22-31 due to track work.

Lift fatality

Rajesh Kumar Singh, 56, died in an elevator mishap at Moon City under Ulidih police station area. He had pressed the button of the elevator on the sixth floor and seeing the display opened the gate but the lift had not come to the floor due to a technical. He fell into the pit and died.
