Police on Saturday took Baghmara’s BJP MLA Dhullu Mahto on remand and questioned him over a land dispute case lodged by Rajeev Kumar Srivastava, nephew of former mines minister O.P. Lal.

A police team, led by Baghmara SDO Nitin Khandelwal, reached Dhanbad divisional jail around 10.30am, where Dhullu has been staying, and took the MLA to Sadar police station where a team of senior police officers questioned him.

The court of district and sessions judge R.K. Singh on Saturday turned down the revision plea filed against Friday’s order of first class judicial magistrate Sangeeta that allowed the police to take Dhullu on remand.
