BCCL inspects the underground fire-hit Bhuian Basti in Dhanbad

Around a dozen families to be shifted to safer places in a phase-wise manner from Tuesday

A team of officials from Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) inspects the underground fire-hit Bhuian Basti in Rajapur Colliery area of Jharia, Dhanbad, on Monday where cracks have developed on the ground as well as some houses. Earlier, a group of BCCL officials, led by manager of Kuian Colliery Sanjeev Kashyap, held a meeting with residents of Ghanudih where similar cracks have appeared after Sunday’s rain. At the meeting, it was decided that around a dozen families will be shifted to safer places in a phase-wise manner from Tuesday. The process will begin with the relocation of three families on the first day.
