Vaishno Devi yatra stalled as measure to thwart virus

All restrictions will be in place till March 31; three have tested positive in Jammu

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday suspended the Vaishno Devi yatra, stopped the entry of foreign tourists to the Union Territory and halted inter-state bus services as part of measures to thwart the spread of the coronavirus.

All restrictions will be in place till March 31. Three persons have tested positive in Jammu.

A flight from Leh, part of Ladakh where eight persons have tested positive, was asked to return from Srinagar with all 25 passengers on Wednesday.

All 81 passengers of another flight from Leh have been quarantined in Srinagar.
