Kid dies after being hit by battery-operated vehicle at Hyderabad zoo

A two-year-old boy died when a battery-operated vehicle hit him at the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad, police said on Wednesday.

The boy was returning after seeing the animals with his family on Tuesday afternoon when the vehicle hit him, the police said.

The child was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and he died on the way, a police official said.

The driver of vehicle was arrested on Wednesday on the charge of rash and negligent driving.
