Rajasthan MLA Manvendra Singh, son of former Union minister Jaswant Singh, on Saturday said he had quit the BJP, declaring it was a “big mistake” to have joined the party.
Manvendra, who announced the decision at a news conference after addressing a rally in his constituency, Barmer, said he had not yet decided on whether to join the Congress. Assembly elections are due in BJP-ruled Rajasthan later this year.
“Kamal ka phool, badi bhool,” Manvendra told the rally. Contacted by PTI after the public meeting, he said: “I am no longer in the BJP.”
