IIT Bhubaneswar inks pact with Bangladesh varsities for teaching, research collaboration

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has signed MoUs with three overseas universities — Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Jahangirnagar University of Bangladesh and Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with an objective to explore opportunities of collaboration in teaching and research.

Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, director of IIT Bhubaneswar, and Professorn Rumen Mladenov, rector of Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, signed the other MoU. “These three MoUs between IIT Bhubaneswar and the overseas universities aim at the development of a collaborative relationship in academics and research through various joint projects and faculty exchange,” said a media release issued by IIT, Bhubaneswar.

The MoUs were signed in the presence of the deans and faculty members of the IIT during the visit of around 40 delegates from different universities and institutions from the UK, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Latvia, Belgium, Turkey and India to the institute.
