Karnataka govt decides to shut schools, imposes weekend curfew

The Karnataka government on Tuesday decided to impose weekend curfew and extend the night curfew for two weeks in the state in view of the alarming rise in the number of Covid-19 cases.

The government also decided to shut schools and pre-university colleges except for students of Classes X and XII for two weeks.

Karnataka logged 2,479 cases on Tuesday and four fatalities.
