The CBI has called Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning on Sunday in the liquor policy case for which his former deputy Manish Sisodia is behind bars.

Kejriwal's AAP and the RJD hit out at the summons, a couple of days after Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav met Kejriwal and told reporters they would work towards Opposition unity.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh told reporters on Friday: “The day CM Arvind Kejriwal exposed this scam, I told him that he’ll be next on the BJP’s hitlist as by exposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ties with Adani, he had targeted the BJP right where it hurts them the most.”

RJD MP Manoj Jha said on the summons to Kejriwal: “As per Saheb's wish, CBI has now called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal…. Put all Opposition leaders and every voice of resistance in the gas chamber and kill them. But know that your friend 'Adani' will still not escape. The whole country will stand up, sir.”
