Ayodhya hearing in Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Thursday indicated that it would hear the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute on all five working days of the week instead of conducting day-to-day hearings that are normally held on three days — Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“We may hear the case on all five days of the week,” Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, heading a five-judge bench, said. Usually, matters before a constitution bench are heard on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as Mondays and Fridays are reserved for hearing fresh matters.

On Thursday, the court asked senior advocate K. Parasaran, appearing for Ram Lalla (infant Ram), how the high court had declared Ramjanmabhoomi as a “juridical person” in 2010.
