Satish Kaushik bid farewell to this world last year, a day after joyously celebrating the festival of Holi in Gurugram. The postmortem report of Satish Kaushik revealed that the sudden demise was caused due to a cardiac attack. With a career spanning decades, Kaushik etched his name into the annals of Indian cinema through his unforgettable performances and visionary storytelling.

Today, on what would have been Satish Kaushik's 68th birthday, Bollywood celebrities and friends honoured his memory by reflecting on his remarkable contributions to the industry and the warmth he exuded in every interaction. The late actor held a profound admiration for the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, a sentiment that culminated in a cherished moment when they shared the screen in the film 'Jalwa'. Reflecting on his humble beginnings, Kaushik once revealed, “When I first came to the city, I stayed with my relatives in Byculla. When they came to know that I had come to act, they stopped talking to me. I left that place and got a paying guest accommodation opposite Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow.”
