One of the pictures features Jisoo, who is looking over at something with a terrified gaze. Another picture shows Jisoo sharing an embrace with her co-actor.

Adapted from Han Sang Woon’s novel Influenza, Newtopia also stars Kim Joon Han.

Set in an air defence unit in Seoul, the drama follows the story of a soldier named Jae Yoon (Jung-min) and his girlfriend Yeong Ju (Jisoo), who break up on the same day a zombie apocalypse takes over the world. The couple, who get separated from each other inside the military area, battle the zombies single-handedly to reunite once again.

Helmed by Yoon Sung-Hyun, the script of Newtopia is penned by A Shop for Killers writer Ji Ho Jin in collaboration with Han Jin Won, who previously worked on the Oscar-winning films Parasite and Okja.

Jisoo made her acting debut with the 2015 K-drama series The Producers. The singer had her first lead role in the 2021 series Snowdrop, also starring Jung Hae-in.
