Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay extended his best wishes to the team of Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John ahead of its theatrical release on Thursday, hoping for a blockbuster run at the box office.
Sharing a poster of the film featuring Varun Dhawan, he wrote on X, “Best wishes to @Atlee_dir @Varun_dvn @KeerthyOfficial @priyaatlee #WamiqaGabbi @MusicThaman @kalees_dir @AntonyLRuben and the entire #BabyJohn team for the release tomorrow. Wishing you all a blockbuster success ♥️.”
Inspired by Vijay’s 2016 film Theri, Baby John is directed by A. Kaleeswaran and marks Atlee’s second Bollywood movie after Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, last year.
“Revolve around a DCP who transforms and travels to different place in order to safeguard his family,” reads the synopsis on IMDb.
Reacting to the post, Atlee wrote, “Love you na Thank you soooo much It means a lot to us ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Varun re-tweeted Vijay’s post and wrote, “Thank you thalapathy Vijay sir 🙏. We will always remain babies near you ❤️#babyjohn.”
Keerthy Suresh re-shared Vijay’s post on X. “Sirrrr !! Coming from you means a lot !! Thankkk youuu so much for your wishes! ☺️🙏🏼,” she said.
Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj also extended his best wishes to the team of Baby John.

Vijay, who was last seen in Venkat Prabhu’s GOAT, launched his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in February and announced his plans to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.
As per media reports, Vijay’s last film before he ventures into politics is currently in the works. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, the H. Vinoth directorial will hit theatres in October 2025. The film is expected to star Bobby Deol in a key role.
