Actress Trisha Krishnan on Wednesday announced a break from work and social media following the passing of her pet dog Zorro on Christmas morning.
“My son Zorro passed away early this Christmas morning. For those who know me well know that my life has zero meaning henceforth. My family and I are broken and in a state of shock. Will be taking some time off work and will be off the radar,” the 41-year-old actress wrote on X.
Trisha, who is currently gearing up for some big releases, including Ajith Kumar’s much-anticipated films Good Bad Ugly and Vidaamuyarchi, welcomed Zorro into her family in 2012.
Reminiscing about the time she spent with her furry friend, Trisha shared Zorro’s photos on Instagram.
“Zorro🪽2012-2024🌈,” she wrote.
Filmmaker Ravi K Chandran extended his condolences in the comments section. “RIP zorro..it’s the most difficult time indeed,” he wrote.
Fans also expressed their love and support. “Stay strong Trisha ma’am,” wrote one. “So sorry for your loss,” wrote another.
Trisha was last seen in a special appearance in The Greatest of All Time alongside Thalapathy Vijay.
The actress is set to appear in the Malayalam film Identity alongside actor Tovino Thomas, scheduled for release in January 2025. Later in the year, Trisha will share screen space with Kamal Haasan in Thug Life, a Mani Ratnam directorial. She will also star in the Telugu film Vishwambhara alongside Chiranjeevi.
Trisha is also set to reunite with her Mounam Pesiyadhe co-star Suriya after 20 years. She has been confirmed for a role in Suriya 45, an upcoming film directed by RJ Balaji.
