Actress Swara Bhasker announced her engagement to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmad on February 16 through an Instagram video, laying out their love story that began at a Delhi protest march in 2020.
For their engagement, Swara donned a simple red sari with a golden blouse and matched it with gold jewellery embellished with green stones. Fahad opted for the traditional white kurta-pajama, pairing it with a red jacket.
After meeting at the Delhi protest march, Swara and Fahad bonded over a cat called Ghalib that the actress brought home from the streets.
Bollywood stars Sonam Kapoor and Divya Dutt were present at the engagement.
Swara tweeted on Thursday that they would get married in March at a low-key ceremony in Delhi.
A newly engaged Swara and Fahad couldn’t help but shake a leg outside the court together.
