Saqib Saleem’s determined journalist meets Rahul Bhat’s criminal-turned politician and Adinath Kothare’s honest cop in the official teaser of Zee5’s upcoming thriller series Crime Beat.
Dropped by the makers on Friday, the one-minute-20-second-long teaser shows Saqib chasing someone for a story and even challenging his boss to uncover the truth. Then we get to see Rahul’s influential politician and Adinath Kothare’s dutiful cop on a mission to make Delhi safe. The clip also gives a glimpse of several other important characters.

Saqib’s character in the teaser reminds us of Jake Gyllenhaal’s twisted journalist in Dan Gilroy’s Nightcrawler (2014). The series has similar themes to the recently released Netflix crime thriller show Scoop.
Created by Sudhir Mishra and Sanjeev Kaul, Crime Beat is produced by Content Films Production. It also stars Saba Azad, Danish Husain and Sai Tamhankar in important roles. It will mark the reunion of Saqib Saleem and Saba Azad after a decade after their 2011 film Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge.
