Fashion designer Manish Malhotra, the producer of Vibhu Puri’s upcoming romantic drama Ul Jalool Ishq, has shared a bunch of behind-the-scenes pictures from the last day of shoot featuring Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Naseeruddin Shah. He also dropped photos from a star-studded wrap-up party attended by the film’s cast and crew on Sunday. Here’s a look.
Vijay and Fatima shared a laugh during a rickshaw ride in a candid photo. While the Darlings star sported a vintage blazer over a kurta and trousers, the Sam Bahadur actress went for a simple look in a black salwar kameez paired with a hand-painted dupatta.
Ul Jalool Ishq is Manish’s production house STAGE5 Production’s third film. It is directed by Puri, known for his debut directorial Hawaizaada starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Mithun Chakraborty.
A moustache-sporting Vijay appears in one of the pictures. “It’s a WRAP. @stage5production production no3 #uljaloolishq. Thank You everyone for all your hard work, love and passion,” Manish captioned the Instagram carousel.
Fatima — known for her roles in Dangal, Sam Bahadur and Dhak Dhak — covers her head with a white dupatta and holds a diya, probably while celebrating a festival in the film.
During the wrap-up party, Manish clicked a selfie with Vijay, who recently starred in Netflix’s Murder Mubarak alongside Sara Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Janhvi Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor.
The entire cast and crew of the film came together for a group picture. Shooting for Ul Jalool Ishq began on January 9. “The Beginning of our emotional and love journey... #UlJaloolIshq … Film shooting begins today,” Manish had announced in an Instagram post earlier this year.
Manish’s wrap-up party was attended by the entire cast of the film along with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, and actresses Tamannah Bhatia and Ratna Pathak.
Vijay clicked a selfie with Manish, Fatima and Tamannah at the party.
While Tamannah and Ratna twinned in red, Manish was all smiles in a black jacket with white stitches. “Celebrating at Home all the hard work by the wonderful Team at the WRAPPARTY of #UlJALOOLISHQ Production no 3 @stage5production,” the 57-year-old fashion designer-producer wrote.
