Karan enjoys a special relationship with the UK as he has filmed many of his productions, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, across the country.

Karan’s blockbuster movies Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan became the highest-grossing Indian films at the UK box office upon their theatrical releases, setting new records.

In 2012, Karan, who currently heads DHarma Productions, was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for Visit Britain for a special campaign to attract and invite people to visit and explore the UK.

The filmmaker has recently completed 25 years working in the global entertainment industry. His next film Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, will hit theatres in the UK and across the globe on July 28.
