With 11 nods, Beyoncé emerged as the leading nominee for the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, nominations for which were announced on Friday. Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone received seven nominations each, while Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Taylor Swift followed closely with six nominations each.

Beyoncé's latest album, Cowboy Carter, secured her a spot in the album of the year category. She is up against André 3000’s New Blue Sun, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, Charli XCX’s Brat, Jacob Collier’s Djesse Vol. 4, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, and Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department.

Swift's nomination this year marks her seventh in the album of the year category, setting a new record for the most nominations by a female artist, surpassing the previous tie with Barbra Streisand. Beyoncé, meanwhile, now holds the record for the most album of the year nominations by a Black artist, with five nods, though she has yet to win the prestigious award. Eilish’s nomination continues her impressive streak with her studio albums. She has released three studio albums in her career and all three of them have made it to the Grammys.

The Grammy nominations were unveiled during a livestream hosted by Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., who was joined by past Grammy winners and nominees, including Brandy Clark, Kirk Franklin, and Kylie Minogue, along with comedian Jim Gaffigan and television anchor Gayle King.

The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony is set to take place on February 2, 2025 in Los Angeles
