A happy couple falls into a vicious spiral of treachery and deception after a third person arrives in their life in the trailer of American filmmaker Woody Allen’s upcoming French-language romantic thriller film Coup De Chance.

Dropped on June 5 by the makers, the one-minute-37-second-long trailer, which was launched without English subtitles, begins with glimpses of a happy French couple — Fanny (Lou de Laage) and Jean (Melvil Poupaud). But everything changes after the arrival of Fanny’s former high school friend Alain (Niels Schneider). Fanny gets instantly attracted to his old friend. What follows is a full-blown affair, resulting in guilt, deception and torment. The video also hints at a violent end, with a montage of gunshots and the involvement of other characters.
