Acclaimed Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury will be headlining Srijit Mukherji’s Padatik — a biopic of filmmaker Mrinal Sen. The Autograph director had announced the main casting on December 30, the death anniversary of Mrinal Sen. Friends Communication, who’s producing Padatik, has revealed the first look of the film’s characters. The make-up is by Somnath Kundu, who has been an integral part of Srijit’s projects. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan had wished Srijit and Chanchal for Padatik on social media.

Chanchal has made a mark in West Bengal with his nuanced performances in Hoichoi’s web series Karagar and the Bangladeshi film, Hawa.
