Bollywood couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover celebrated Mukhe Bhaat or rice ceremony of their daughter Devi at their residence in Mumbai recently. The ritual, also called Annaprashan, is a rite of passage that marks an infant's first intake of food other than milk. Take a look at the photos from Devi’s rice ceremony here.
New parents Bipasha and Karan decorated their residence in hues of red, gold and white for the ceremony.
Devi was dressed in a gorgeous red sari with chandan tika on her forehead for the Bengali ritual.
The thali used for the rice ceremony consisted of wheat, scutch grass, payesh, red sandalwood paste and sweets.
Devi also wore a pair of golden anklets on her feet for the rice-eating ceremony.
Bipasha Basu wore a red anarkali with white chikankari work paired with white earrings and a matching dupatta.
