Befikre girl Vaani Kapoor was the star attraction at the launch of Dodo & Moa, a womenswear brand by Zashed Fashiontech on Amazon Fashion in Delhi on Thursday. She answered a few quick questions from The Telegraph over email.
The first thing one notices about you is your dazzling smile. What keeps Vaani Kapoor smiling?
My work brings me happiness. I love what I do and am grateful for it.
If you were to describe yourself as either fashionable or stylish, which one would you pick and why?
There is a thin line between the two. I believe you can be fashionable, that is someone who does give importance to their appearance, and stylish as well, that is an extension of your personality. For my job I have to balance the two, partly this is the reason why I believe in Dodo & Moa’s aesthetics. Together with Amazon Fashion, the brand is sure to appeal to women from across the country.

How does one arrive at one’s style?
By gauging if it leaves us feeling comfortable and confident.
Do you believe in fashion trends or are you a classic dresser?
I believe in mixing the two. It is essential to dress up for occasions but also let your hair down and dress up for yourself.
What is your go-to look?
A chic, black ensemble. Sounds cliched, but it always always works.
Growing up, did you have a style icon?
Not a particular fashion icon but there are a lot of people whose fashion sense I have loved like Audrey Hepburn, Victoria Beckham and Gigi Hadid.
If you could live in them, which fashion item would you pick?
I believe in comfort and would opt for loose pants like trackpants and linen pants, sweatshirts and monochrome T-shirts.
