Payments tech firm Infibeam Avenues, which announced the acquisition of a 54.10 per cent stake in Rediff.com India Limited for ₹25 crore in August, expects a potential 2-4 per cent revenue contribution this year and 10 per cent in the coming years from Rediff.
Founded in 1996, Rediff became one of the leading web portals in the country. “Currently over 22,000 businesses in India rely on Rediff’s enterprise email solutions. To build on this foundation, we plan to introduce RediffOne, an all-in-one enterprise software suite for both existing and new businesses. Additionally, we aim to extend the benefits of RediffOne to millions of merchants who use the CCAvenue platform,” said Vishal Mehta, CMD, Infibeam Avenues Limited.
“With over 70 million registered users sending 500 emails daily, this also represents a significant opportunity for financial service integration. RediffPay, a UPI-based payment application would be introduced to both existing and new Rediffmail users. RediffPay would be open for all users — merchants, enterprises and individuals,” said Mehta.
Infibeam is expanding its capabilities on the AI side and is expecting a contribution of 5-10 per cent of the company’s net revenue within three years.
“Phronetic.AI under which we are building all our AI initiatives is advancing its capabilities with a range of cutting-edge developments and applications such as AI facility manager solutions with use cases in healthcare and retail gas stations, sports and agentic AI capabilities. We are also working on next-generation human-computer interface technology aimed at transforming video interactions during chats,” said Mehta.
The company is also investing towards building data centre capacity to meet localisation requirements. “Our first data centre with a capacity of 2MW is now operational. In the medium term, we aim to expand with a 10MW facility, while our long-term vision is to scale up to 100MW over the coming years. The estimated capex per MW is around ₹20-50 crore,” said Mehta.
