The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the schedule for the Higher Secondary (HS) Practical Examination, 2025. The exams will commence on December 2, 2024, and continue until December 20, 2024. Schools are instructed to collect blank answer scripts (4-leaf and 2-leaf) and question papers from designated distribution centers on November 27, 2024.
Guidelines for Conducting the Practical Examinations
- Subjects Included: Schools will conduct practical examinations for all applicable subjects, including Music (MUSC) and Health & Physical Education (PHED).
- Examiner Requirements: Only subject teachers are authorized to conduct practical exams. If a school lacks a teacher for a subject, a teacher from a neighboring school may be appointed with prior permission from the Regional Office.
- Exemptions: Students who passed the practical exams in the previous year are exempt from retaking them.
- Mandatory Signatures: Practical answer scripts must bear the signatures of the examiner and the countersign of the Head of the Institution.
Submission of Marks
- Online Process: Schools must submit practical and project marks online between December 6 and December 31, 2024, via the WBCHSE portal (wbchseapplication.wb.gov.in/portal).
- No Hard Copies: Schools are not required to submit hard copies of marks to the Council.
- Accuracy: Institutions must ensure there are no errors while uploading marks. For absent students, the entry “AB” should be used.
For any queries regarding the practical exams or online marks submission, heads of institutions are advised to contact their respective Regional Offices during office hours.
The Council emphasises strict adherence to these guidelines to ensure smooth and error-free conduct of the HS Practical Examination, 2025.
