Nearly 11.52 lakh candidates applied for the UPSC Prelims 2022 exams
A total of 1,022 vacancies will be filled by the exams
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results for the Civil Services (Preliminary) examinations 2022 on June 22. About 13,090 of the 11.52 lakh candidates have qualified for the UPSC Main.
The UPSC exams are conducted every year in three stages — Preliminary, Nain and Interview. The exam is conducted to appoint officers in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other positions.
Initially, a total of 861 vacancies were sought to be filled through the civil services examinations 2022, which have now been increased to 1,022.
All qualifying candidates have been asked to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the UPSC Main examinations 2022, a statement issued by the UPSC said.
The dates and important instructions for filling up the DAF-I and its submission will be announced on the UPSC website soon.
“Candidates are also informed that marks, cut-off marks and answer keys of the civil services preliminary examination 2022 will be uploaded on the commission’s website only after the entire process of the civil services examination 2022 is over, i.e. after the declaration of the final result,” a UPSC notice said.
The commission has a facilitation counter near the examination hall building on its premises at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi.
Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding the results of the preliminary examination on all working days between 10am and 5pm, in person or by calling at 011-23385271, 011-23098543 or 011-23381125 from the facilitation counter.
