The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a list of Higher Educational Institutes that has been recognised by the commission to offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes for the academic year 2023-24.
A total of 80 universities have featured in the list of Higher Educational Institutes providing open and distance learning.
Earlier, The UGC had asked the universities to submit online applications for Open and distance learning programmes for the academic year 2023-24 (academic session beginning February 2024.
The universities which offering the open and distance learning courses will have to abide by all the terms and conditions mentioned in the University Grants Commission (Open
and Distance learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2O2O and its amendments, along with other instructions and notices issued by UGC and other statutory & regulatory bodies from time to time.
The last date for admission to these higher educational institutes offering ODL and Online programmes has been set as March 31, 2024.
The universities have been provided the deadline of April 15 to submit student data on the portal.
The UGC has mentioned that the list of universities will be updates from time to time, as required.
