The National Testing Agency (NTA) will officially close the registration window for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 today, October 31st. Aspiring candidates are further invited to submit their applications for the UGC NET December 2023 examination on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The UGC NET 2023 exam for the December session is scheduled to be held from December 6 to December 22. Candidates can anticipate the release of the UGC NET December 2023 exam results on January 10, 2024.
Documents Required for UGC NET 2023:
To complete the UGC NET application process, candidates must provide the following documents:
- Valid government ID proof, such as Aadhaar card, voter card, driver's licence, etc.
- Qualifying degree certificate or the last semester's marks sheet.
- Copy of the board/university certificate.
- Category certificate, if applicable.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for the UGC NET must meet specific eligibility criteria, which include:
- Holding a master's degree with at least 55% marks. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and PwD categories will receive a 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. degree who have completed their master's level examination or are awaiting the result can apply with a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks.
- Students appearing for the final year of a master's degree, as well as those with postgraduate diplomas, degrees, and certificates from foreign institutes, are also eligible to apply for the UGC NET December 2023.
