For students who are struggling financially, Delhi University has launched the Financial Support Scheme. Students who are interested in applying for this programme can obtain the application and notification from the website. The deadline for this program's application is 12 December 2022.

In keeping with the government's philosophy, "Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas," the programme includes a fee exemption for students from low-income families. According to a notice posted by the university on its official Twitter account, all fees paid by students, with the exception of the examination and hostel fees, are waived.

Candidates who fall into one of two categories and are enrolled at the University of Delhi in one of its departments or institutions: Category 1 has a family income of less than 4 lakh, while Category 2 has a family income between 4 lakh and 8 lakh. The university will waive all fees for the first category, and up to 50% of the second category's fees.

The required documents include the annual family income certificate, copies of parents' ITRs, mark sheets from their most recent exams, copies of students who are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programmes, fee receipts, and a bank passbook.
