One of the well known scholarships provided by the Government of West Bengal is the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship. The scholarship is also known as Bikash Bhavan Scholarship which is given to the students of the state.
As per the official sources, students of class XI, XII and undergraduate levels who have applied for scholarships in 2019, 2020 and 2021 will now be eligible for renewing their scholarship till 7th July, 2022.
As per the information available on the website, students who wish to renew their scholarship would be required to have a certain percentage only then they can apply for the same. Students who have been promoted to higher secondary would need to have at least 60 percent marks in the secondary level. Whereas, students promoted to undergraduate level would be needed to have at least 80 percent in higher secondary.
Students of class XI and XII can get a scholarship of Rs 1000 per month. Students pursuing their undergraduate degrees can get 1 to 5 thousand per month.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is a merit-cum-means based scholarship scheme focusing especially on the economically backward and brilliant students of West Bengal studying at undergraduate, postgraduate and higher secondary levels. The major objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who cannot afford their fees. The scholarship aims to help students get a good education and overcome the financial burden posed on them.
