In a significant update, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently amended the evaluation guidelines for the stenography skill test for both English and Hindi languages. Scheduled for January 3 and 4, 2024, the SSC Stenographer Grade C, D skill test has undergone important changes.
The final answer key for SSC Stenographer Grade C, D has been officially released on ssc.nic.in. This alteration impacts the filling of 1,207 posts, with 1,114 positions for Grade D and 93 for Grade C.
The marking scheme now categorises errors into full and half mistakes. Notably, multiple spellings and forms of words are deemed correct, enhancing the flexibility of the evaluation process. For instance, the word 'Honourable' can be written as ‘Hon'ble’, ‘Hon.’, ‘honourable’, and ‘hon.’ – all considered correct.
The calculation method for mistakes in the skill test is specified based on the number of words in the master passage and the speed of typing per minute. The Stenography Test evaluation criteria distinguish between full and half mistakes, covering various aspects such as omissions, additions, repetitions, and spelling errors.
Candidates must adhere to the updated guidelines to ensure accurate evaluation of their performance in the SSC Stenographer Grade C, D skill test.
