The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the notification for WBJEE counselling 2024. Eligible candidates, those who secured a rank in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2024 or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024, can register for the WBJEE counselling through wbjeeb.nic.in.
The official notification states, “For the academic year 2024-25, the process includes a streamlined online counselling system and the students who want to join these courses must have appeared in the WBJEE-2024 exam or the JEE-Main-2024 exam and obtained a valid rank (GMR etc.). The WBJEE-2024 examination had taken place on April 28, 2024, and the results have already been made public. The process of centralized online counselling, or e-counselling, will now be started by the WBJEEB. The e-counselling process will guide students on how to choose their colleges and courses based on their exam ranks.”
The WBJEE 2024 counselling will be conducted in three rounds: allotment, upgradation, and mop-up. All steps, including registration, choice filling, allotment, and payment of the seat acceptance fee, will be conducted online through a centralised system.
WBJEE Counselling 2024 Documents Required
- Class 10 admit card or birth certificate for verification of date of birth.
- Class 10 marksheet.
- Class 12 marksheet.
- Domicile certificate for West Bengal candidates.
- Category certificate, if applicable.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) certificate, if applicable.
- Income certificate for tuition fee waiver (TFW) rank holders.
In the allotment round, seats are assigned to candidates based on their ranks and preferences. The upgradation round allows candidates already allotted a seat to opt for a higher preference if available. The mop-up round is for filling any remaining vacant seats after the previous rounds.
WBJEE Counselling 2024 Registration Fee
Candidates must pay a registration fee of INR 500 for the allotment round. For the mop-up round, the fee is INR 200. New candidates with a valid rank in WBJEE 2024 or JEE (Main) 2024 must pay INR 1,000 for registration.
